Termarust TR2200LV HR CSA (High Ratio Co-Polymerized Calcium Sulfonate) is a high performance, Low VOC, environmentally friendly, proprietary penetrant sealer formulated specifically to remain active. Its unique properties allow it to neutralize acid, displace moisture, scavenge oxygen, thoroughly wet surfaces and stop corrosion, pack rusting, and rust staining (bleeding) on steel structures. The unique chemistry addresses the physical and chemical components of the crevice corrosion and pack rust.

Uses
For application to joints, crevices, back to back angles, corrosion frozen bearings and tubing on steel structures such as bridges, towers, cranes, conveyor systems, cable suspension systems and vehicle frames where coating is impossible.

Dry time
When used as a penetrant only allow 24 hours for maximum penetration. Termarust TR2200LV High Ratio Co-Polymerized Calcium Sulfonate Penetrant/Sealer may be topcoated wet on wet when an extra 10 mils DFT of Termarust TR2100 HR CSA Primer/Topcoat is applied to the pack rusted joints, crevices, or back to back angles during the cutting in process.

Surface preparation
Spot repairs of failed joints
Remove excessive dirt and contaminants by using appropriate cleaners and also a soluble salt remover like Termaclean 7101 or Chlor-rid. Open joints with a sharp object to allow the Termarust TR2200LV HR CSA (High Ratio Co-Polymerized Calcium Sulfonate) Penetrant/Sealer to penetrate thoroughly.
Waterjetting joints
Wash joints using 5000 PSI water at a maximum 4 inch stand off. Joints should be blown out with a minimum 100 PSI clean dry high-pressure air to insure water has been removed. When used without the Termarust TR2100 HR CSA (High Ratio Co-Polymerized Calcium Sulfonate) Primer/Topcoat, two applications of the Termarust TR2200LV HR CSA (High Ratio Co-Polymerized Calcium Sulfonate) Penetrant/Sealer are recommended for maximum performance. In this case allow at least 12 hours between application of the second coat of the TR2200LV HR CSA Penetrant/Sealer.

Application
Thoroughly wet out all joints, crevices, cables, back to back angles, tube interiors and areas to be protected with Termarust TR2200LV HR CSA (High Ratio Co-Polymerized Calcium Sulfonate) Penetrant/Sealer by spray or brush.
Excessive Termarust TR2200LV HR CSA (High Ratio Co-Polymerized Calcium Sulfonate) Penetrant/Sealer allowed to remain on other surfaces will inhibit the dry of the Termarust TR2100 HR CSA (High Ratio Co-Polymerized Calcium Sulfonate) Primer/Topcoat and should be brushed out.

Application equipment
Any Equipment that can spray via pressure or facilitate the application of the TR2200LV HR CSA penetrant/ Sealer into the crevice corrode joints and connection to facilitate the maxium amount of penetration thus asurring the best end result.

Shelf life
12 months in original unopened container when stored in a protected area where the temperature is between 5°C and 30°C (41°F - 86°F). After 12 months material should be mixed and inspected before use.
