Termarust 2400 (RAVCS) Viscoflow Inaccessible Area Coating is a pigmented Reacted Alkaline Viscolastic Calcium Sulfonate coating, designed and engineered exclusively for flow coating. Termarust 2400 (RAVCS) Viscoflow Inaccessible Area Coating may be used for encapsulation (overcoat) of existing aged leaded paints, vinyl, coal tar epoxy, polyurethane, epoxy mastics, organic or inorganic zinc, galvanizing, metallizing, acrylics, core 10 steel and tightly adhered contaminant free rust, or re-coating of new or prepared structural steel. Ideal for use with water jetting.

Uses
Termarust 2400 (RAVCS) Viscoflow Inaccessible Area Coating allows tremendous flexibility in surface profile and preparation. It is ideal for the reclamation and long term protection or transformer cooling radiators, steel structures, industrial infrastructure and any inaccessible areas were traditional coating methods will not work.

Surface preparation
All grease, oil, grime and other contaminants must be removed from the surface. Treat area with caustic solution to remove old paint. Flush area with fresh water or steam. Wash with 5% phosphoric acid solution then rinse with fresh water. The prepared surface must be analyzed for chloride content. Upper limit is per SSPC-SP12-SC2 (7mg/sq. m.)

Application
The Termarust 2400 (RAVCS) Viscoflow Inaccessible Area Coating should not be applied at temperatures below 2°C or 35.5°F with a steel temperature not less than 2°C or 35.5°F. There must be a 2°C or 5°F spread between temperature and dew point. To apply the coating the relative humidity should be no greater than 99% and the steel should be free of surface moisture.

Shelf life
12 months minimum in original unopened container when stored in a protected area where the temperature is between 5°C and 30°C (41°F to 86°F).
Note: after 12 months verify the coating to see if a skin has formed. If a skin is present remove skin and mix material. Before an open container is closed a thin layer of TRT01 should be poured on top. This will retard any skinning.

Treat as flammable liquid * Flash point 42°C (108°F). Keep away from heat, open flame and sparks. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapor. Read label instructions carefully and refer to Material Safety Data Sheet supplied. This product is for industrial use only and is not intended for use in or around a household or dwelling.

Notes
Termarust 2400 (RAVCS) Viscoflow Inaccessible Area Coating may be applied below freezing (-18°C or 0°F). This is not recommended unless steps are taken to control ice crystals on the steel before application. Ie. Spot cleaning. Cold temperatures will slow the coating’s cure.
