Performance data
Acids: Excellent Solvents: Excellent
Salt: Excellent Water: Excellent
Dry heat: 150ºC
Note: A loss of gloss and some chalking can occur when exposed directly to sunlight.
When recoated with itself, it can be used as topcoat. It can also be used in conjunction with all Ferox epoxies and polyurethanes.

Surface preparation
All grease, oil, grime, loose rust and other contaminants must be removed from the surface using solvent, commercial detergent or other suitable cleaning method.
On steel, degrease according to SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.
This epoxy will adhere to rusty or damp surfaces. However, the close rust must be removed as per SSPC-SP2 and SP3 minimum.
On new metal, it is advisable to sand the part to ensure the best optimum performance upon impacts.
New steel requires a SSPC-SP1 minimal preparation.
Surface preparation for immersion service must be SSPC-SP10 minimum at 5 mils thick minimum for the first coat + 10 mils thick for the second coat in respecting recoat times..
|
Application
Must be applied only after the surface has been adequately applied.
This primer is supplied in 2 gallon kits (1A + 1B) and in 18.9 litres (1 x 18.9 litres A + 1 x 18.9 litres B)
For smaller jobs measure both components as per mixing ratio mentioned below. Put the hardener (part B) into part A, mix well with power mixer.
