SILANE SEALER

Product description
TERMASEAL TS3340 is a single component, solvent containing, silane based sealer, designed to give deep penetration into the pores of mineral surfaces such as concrete and masonry.

TERMASEAL TS3340 is not a surface coating: it penetrates deeply and chemically reacts with silica containing substrates to form permanent bonds. Thus the problem of lifting, scaling, and eventually disbonding of the coating film due to moisture infiltration is avoided.

Uses
Parking garages.
.Bridges.
.Roads.
.Architectural concrete.
.Bricks (concrete containing).
.Mortars, stucco.
.Silica containing stones.
.Other horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Advantages
Simplicity and economy of use.
Does not change the appearance, the color or texture of most sealed surfaces.
Significant reduction of capillary penetration of water and of water soluble aggressive substances (e.g. acid rain).
Major reduction of chloride ion penetration (de-icing salts): protects reinforcing steel.
Reduces penetration of air pollutants (soiling).
Upgrades the appearance of facades and of exterior walls. Improves freeze/thaw resistance.
Reduces efflorescence.
Is not a vapor-barrier: allows equilibration of water vapor pressure across walls (breathing).

Surface preparation
The surface must be sound and clean. Dry surfaces allow maximum penetration. Penetration can be improved by alight sandblasting of the surface. Old concrete must be free of any curing membrane, grease, oil, pain t, etc.

Application
Use product as delivered (do not dilute).

The number of applications depends on the porosity of the surface. It is advisable to coat a test area to determine the exact coverage of TERMASEAL TS3340 required for effective waterproofing.
Non-treated adjacent surfaces should be protected against spillage and overspray.

Application equipment
Low pressure spray, brush, or roller, applied to saturation of the surface.
