LOW HAPS ZINC RICH PRIMER
DESCRIPTION
A metallic zinc primer which inhibits rust on ferrous metal by cathodic reaction, and functions as a cold galvanizing on new steel.
USES
Termarust Zinc Rich Primer through conventional painting methods provides a galvanized surface on complex fabrication made from steel and on structural steel surfaces such as transmissions towers.

SURFACE PREPARATION
All grease, oil, grime, loose rust and other contaminants must be removed from the surface using solvent, commercial or other suitable cleaning method. Sand blast to SSPC-SP5 is desirable, but if not feasible then degrease to SSPC-SP1 followed by thorough hand tool cleaning to SSPC-SP2 or power tool cleaning to SSPC-SP3.
APPLICATION
The primer should be applied only when the air, surface and product temperature is between 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F) and the surface has been properly prepared.
THINNING
BRUSH OR ROLLER: No reduction is required.
CONVENTIONAL SPRAY: Reduce up to 10% by volume using thinner TR 04.
CLEAN UP: Use thinner TR 04
NOTE: Equipment should be cleaned thoroughly immediately after use.

WEATHERABILITY
When suitably topcoated, the primer-finish system provides excellent durability and corrosion resistance. This system is NOT for continuous water immersion.
SHELF LIFE
12 months in original unopened container when stored in a protected area where the temperature is between 5°C to 30°C (41°F to 86°F).
SAFETY INFORMATION
Treat as flammable liquid - Flash point 42°C (108°F). Keep away from heat, open flame and sparks. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapor. Read label instruction carefully and refer to Material Safety Data Sheet supplied.
