LOW HAPS INDUSTRIAL / MARINE RED OXIDE PRIMER

DESCRIPTION
Conventional low HAPS, lead and chromate free oil alkyd rust inhibitive primer, formulated specifically to exhibit superior corrosion protection in marine/industrial exposures and intermittent salt water immersion.

USES
High performance primer for interior and exterior structural steel, tanks, piping, ships, communication and power towers, conveyor systems and other similar surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION
All grease, oil, grime, loose rust and other contaminants must be removed from the surface using solvent, commercial detergent or other suitable cleaning method. For maximum performance commercial blast SSPC-SP6 is recommended. When a commercial blast is not possible, a power tool cleaning to SSPC-SP3 is acceptable.

APPLICATION
The primer should be applied only when the air and product temperature is between 45°F (7°C) or to 90°F (32°C) and the surface has been properly prepared. The surface temperature should not to exceed 125°F (52°C).

THINNING
BRUSH OR ROLLER: No thinning required.
CONVENTIONAL SPRAY:Reduce up to 10% by volume using thinner TR 01
AIRLESS: No thinning required
CLEAN UP: Use Termarust thinner TR 01

WEATHERABILITY
Excellent in marine/industrial exposure and intermittent salt water immersion.

SHELF LIFE
24 months in original unopened container when stored in a protected area where the temperature is between 5°C to 30°C (41°F to 86°F).

SAFETY INFORMATION
Treat as flammable flame liquid - Flash point 42°C, (108°F). Keep away from heat, open flame and sparks. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapor. Read label instruction carefully and refer to Material Safety Data Sheet supplied.
