Attached is a set of pictures that document the cleaning and overcoat painting of the Wood Road bridge over the Cohocton River (Between Savona-Campbell Road and County Road 125), in Campbell, New York and Steuben County, New York.

The project involved doing some structural repairs to the bridge and then painting the superstructure.

Cost Information

The designer (Mark Laistner) told me that he had budgeted $200,000 for power wash cleaning and painting subcontract – and the painting subcontractor (P.S. Bruckel) bid $80,000 for the cleaning and painting work; i.e. a cost savings of $120,000 lower than the Engineer’s Estimate
