painting of the Wood Road bridge over the Cohocton River (Between
Savona-Campbell Road and County Road 125), in Campbell, New York and Steuben
County, New York. The project involved doing
some structural repairs to the bridge and then painting the superstructure. Cost Information The designer (Mark Laistner) told me that he had
budgeted $200,000 for power wash cleaning and painting subcontract and the
painting subcontractor (P.S. Bruckel) bid $80,000 for the cleaning and painting
work; i.e. a cost savings of $120,000 lower than the Engineers Estimate References The Designer for the project
