To stop corrosion on the structure's ceiling.

Starch manufacturing facility with a chemically active environment where traditional coating systems were unsuccessful.
Surface Preparation: Methods, degree of cleaning, profile:
5,000 PSI High Pressure wash to as SSPC - SP12 - WJ4, no profile.
Coating application methods, equipment:
Airless spray
Coating system, number of coats, dry film thickness per coat, etc.:
Spot prime 5 mils DFT of Termarust 2100 (RAVCS®) Primer/Topcoat, followed by an overcoat of Termarust 2100 (RAVCS®) Primer/Topcoat, 5 mils DFT.
Applied wet on wet.
Safety and Environmental Protection Measures:
Food area had to be protected and could only work at night.
Unusual Job conditions:
Food manufacturing facility that generated dust in the air.
Evidence of good performance:
After 6 months - there is no evidence of corrosion.
Why Termarust was used:
Termarust and the contractor provided a 5-year warranty on leakage from pack rusted joints and connections and a minimum 25-year coating system service life.
