Clean and paint metal siding on building. 50,000 sq. ft.
Reason project was undertaken:
40-year old pre-finished coating on siding was failing and discoloring.
Owner wanted to rejuvenate and improve the durability and appearance of the building siding.

Urban / Acid Rain, numerous pigeons.
Surface Preparation: Methods, degree of cleaning, profile:
High Pressure water wash at 5,000 PSI to a SSPC - SP 12 - WJ4.
Coating application methods, equipment:
Airless spray and brush.
Coating system, number of coats, dry film thickness per coat, etc.:
5 mils DFT of Termarust 2100 (RAVCS®) Primer/Topcoat color matched.
Safety and Environmental Protection Measures:
Containment, worked off a man lift that was enclosed on three sides and at the bottom.
Unusual Job conditions:
Hospital zone with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Evidence of good performance:
No damage from overspray and no deterioration of coating system after
one winter.
Why Termarust was used:
Termarust and the contractor provided a 5-year warranty on leakage from pack rusted joints and connections and a minimum 25-year coating system service life.
